This is a real nice antique Stove Damper with a Coil Spring Handle. This is in as good a condition as you could find, no cracks, chips, rust or warping of any kind; I don't believe this has ever been used; very good for a 110 Year Old piece. All of these dampers are right out of my personal collection, that I have been upgrading for many years, and will be a wonderful new addition to your collection or just a great antique for conversation. This 540 pattern number doesn't show in either of my Red or Blue Griswold books, but I have been told, that it does show in later versions of the Blue book. Circa: 1900
