This is a Wonderful Wagner Cast Iron Ringed Design #8 Deep Skillet Lid Only #1081, In Excellent Condition Black Iron.  This is a Very Nice and Extremely Hard To Find Cast Iron Skillet Lid Only To Fit the Older Larger #1088 Deep Skillet With An Inside Diameter Of  10 11/16" Or More, as shown on page #28 of the Red Book of Wagner & Griswold.  This lid Will Not Fit the Newer Smaller #1088 Deep Skillet Made In 1950s-1960s With the Small Pour Spouts & No Pour Spouts.  It is very hard to find these Deep Skillet Lids and the skillets as well.

 These 61 to 71 Year Old Deep Skillet Lids, are Very Sought After By Collectors, as there seems to never be enough lids to go around.  This Will Make A Very Nice Piece To Add to Your Wagner or Cast Iron Collection or to finish off that Deep Skillet Set looking for a lid.  These Deep Skillet Lids are Much Harder To Find Than Any Of The Books Would Indicate.  Circa: 1940s
